Introduction

The Seoul Museum of Korean Folk Music presents its special exhibition for this year known as Arari : A Song Embodying Our Lives. Arari is a Korean folk song that is famous for its beautiful melodies and richly poetic lyrics. The lyrics vividly embody the whole gamut of human emotions, providing a wealth of resources and knowledge about the lives and feelings of ethnic Koreans in the past.
